a fish out of the nest

Miss Cranky is cranky indeed...

because life and things and stuff have conspired...

to keep me away from the nest of fi sh,
and things i love there....

and away from the company of the Princess Boat.
I'm sorry I missed her show,
and company in the nest...
but i will look at the lovely images...
(those places you have shown me, that reverberate in my heart...)

right
here.....

Hello Ms Fiona. I was thinking of you while I swam today, stroke after stroke after stroke. What a glorious near spring day! The pool has new grout and doesn't smell like blood and bone so much. Are you miss cranky? I can't quite decipher what you missed out on...speak to me...

I missed the opening of the show that shoufay is in. i was working laate and very tired,
i must sound obscure and strange here...what's new.

Good to hear about the new smell-free pool.
Thought of you too...very fresh today!
and not a wave to think of. Not a bump!

Is that your work space?
Where you create?

Outside of your head, that is...

Are you still cranky fifi?

I bet you're not - I imagine you don't stay ever cranky for long.

Have a wonderful, watery, creative weekend!

ah, can't stay cranky for too long!
jely, you have a great one too!

yes Little, that is the nest, where I like to create things but I haven't been there as much as I wish due to work and family stuff.

Hi Fifi,

Sorry you are feeling to stressed this week. I hope things are calmer this weekend. I replied to your email -- sorry for the delay.

Looking at those pictures, I was wondering if your art studio also a place of solitude for you, a quiet place, too?

Hi Cranky, Are you going to be anywhere near Edinburgh in October? I think you said you were going to Glasgow? Maybe we could meet for a coffee, if you had any free time when I'm not at work (or in Rome, where we're going for 4 days in October)? I've never met up with a bloggy person, mind you, and you sound a bit scarily talented... I'm rather boring in comparison.

Is that your portrait on the wall?
Hope you refill the little void.

Hi Isabelle,

That is an old self-portrait of me called Miss cranky. I didn't really look so cranky, but I feel that certain aspectrs have actualised themselves upon my face...
perhaps I should have flattered myself a bit more!!
Tis a lovely and secret place.

I would love to find my way to Edinburgh, time permitting. I feel (I didn't really give it a chance, as I was a bit miserable when I was there) but the prospect of a catch up is very alluring!!! :-)

I am quite ordinary.

ha ha, Offcut, which one are you?
I thought there be only one of you...
I am in denial about the day, but THANKS!!
hope you had a good one too.

I love your little area... it's so wreaks of you :) And it looks so inspired. I'm sorry you missed your friend's show but surely there's another one where you can make it up for? :)

The portrait is interesting, and makes me think I know you? I like the tiles, too.

Hi meredith,

you probably do know me, being as there's 2 degrees of separation etc in Sydney...

I think we are likely
the same species.

thanks meli!
funny enough, I may have to go to Leeds Uni, as it happens.
Plus you have made tramping around abbeys and moors sound pretty appealing!!

:-)
