drowning deep inside of me

Daylight licked me into shape,
I must have been asleep for days,
And moving lips to breathe his name,
I opened up my eyes.
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea,
That stole the only boy I loved
And drowned him deep inside of me

You,
Soft and only,
You,
Lost and lonely,
You,

Just like heaven.

The Cure.

I just googled the lyrics, so I could read all of them. They are very poetic, aren't they?

The photos are beautiful, too.

Goodness, I'm glad Meggie realised that the Cure was a band. I was quite worried!

Ah, this song brings back great memories of loving a boy who lived on another continent, in another country. In the days before the internet....
Lovely photos, as always, dear Fifi...

Well we are soul sisters separated at birth... :)

Beautiful photos. Is that your very nice Coffee coloured satin one, with the pale blue lace trim and thin straps? Beautiful photos.

Hi Fifi,

Lovely entry ... as always.

Regarding my most recent entry, I actually took it down. Sorry about that. I'll try to put up a better one tonight.

That is a very lovely composition. I enjoyed it very much. The poetry & the photos go well together. IMHO, a very good illustration of how we express the classic art of poetry so far in the 21st century.

Oh glory - this is one of the most perfect songs of all time. And a very cool picture to go with it.

Fifi -- How are you? I emailed you, although it was kind of a rambling one. My apologies. Hope all is well.

Hi Fifi,
This is beautiful. I love these photos. The fabric looks so georgeous underwater.

How DID you take these photos? Did you have an accomplice.

Actually don't tell me - they are so lovely and the mystery is part of the loveliness.

Gorgeous Cure lyrics.

Ah yes, I love The Cure too. I used to do a lot of hissing and some very bad singing to Love Cats when I was a young wear-only-black thing. Actually I've not changed much - I still can't sing and mostly wear black.

...and suddenly I was transported to being 14 again.
I dragged out a few old Cure albums the other day and realised I still know off by heart every word of every song of the first ten albums. After all these years.

Re Kate Atkinson - I think "Emotionally Weird" is just the cleverest novel I've ever read.

Our lad took "Case Histories" to NZ with him before I'd read it and before I realised that "One Good Turn" was the sequel.

She's quite an uncomfortable writer sometimes but her plots are SO well structured. I just think she's a genius.

Dingoes? With a stick?

Hi all,

Sorry I havent responded to the comments earlier, you've been so nice as usual.

The attire was inspired by the incident with the nightie, and I have been busy talkng photos in the sea, and making giant paintings from them.

When I can, I use an accomplice for taking the shots.

I love the Cure, I love these lyrics, they are very special to me.
