I'm always crying at school presentations, graduations and the like- my children now offer me a handful of tissues before any big event.
The line "the stones in my head are drowning" has stayed with me from my first reading of this post (I must confess that I often read your posts two or three times before responding as I'm often at a loss to know what to say strait away.) This line bothered me and made me feel a bit sad and wonder how you are.
Hope you have had a delightful christmas and that 2011 brings you much joy.Red Hen (dette)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09620943527844246297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2145558051219626249.post-70987697175396242412010-12-31T10:33:15.089+11:002010-12-31T10:33:15.089+11:00Have a very happy 2011, dear Fifi!Have a very happy 2011, dear Fifi!Pam https://www.blogger.com/profile/12641269043817163165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2145558051219626249.post-82732512854531009902010-12-24T08:18:41.919+11:002010-12-24T08:18:41.919+11:00leenie, you make me laugh. And yes, I need interchangeable ears, it would be so much nicer.
Ha, rocks in the head, I didnt even THINK of that!
Ducky, yes. I always get back. And I will have a wondrous christmas, and hope you do too.
Old Black, I am lucky that I just block things out with relative ease. It's very handy. :-)fifihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06946945635726214503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2145558051219626249.post-39323491783918180002010-12-23T11:06:18.141+11:002010-12-23T11:06:18.141+11:00Yes, parental requests to "work harder" ...Yes, parental requests to "work harder" do fall on deaf ears, don't they? Rocks in the head is a GOOD thing.

But little stones in the inner ear explains so much about equilibrium and sea sickness. How, if I stay on deck and watch the horizon my otoliths are steady and don't tell me to barf.

Too bad you can't change to fish ears like you can add swim fins when you visit the sea. Big balance stones and a slick head would help a lot.

And I know your concern of losing the sounds of the world as time and tide works on the ears. At least you can still swim as long as you know which way is up.Leeniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17655189620056032790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2145558051219626249.post-35212879138518298572010-12-22T22:00:11.160+11:002010-12-22T22:00:11.160+11:00lovely to see you too Geneveive, and I hope you ha...lovely to see you too Geneveive, and I hope you have a very happy Christmas too.
I am sorry to have been so quiet.
